Quartz
Detailed Product Description:
Single Synthetic Optical Crystal Quartz is grown by hydrothermal method in autoclaves. It has trigonal crystal structure with right-handed or left-handed modification. Quartz crystals have low stress birefringence and high refractive index homogeneity. The optical transmission range of crystal quartz is 0.15-4 microns. Due to its piezoelectric properties, low thermal expansion, good mechanical parameters and excellent optical characteristics, cultured quartz is used in electronics, precision and laser optics, optical fibre communications, X-ray optics, and pressure sensors, ect..

Quartz Rotators

Detailed Product Description
When a light beam in certain polarization state goes through Single Synthetic Crystal Quartz along the optical axis, its polarization vectors rotate at an angle, which is the product of the distance it travels and the rotatory power. Quartz thus can be fabricated into optical rotators. Quartzs rotatory power is corellated with the wavelength of the light beam. The shorter the wavelength, the higher the rotating power. Quartz rotators are mostly used for light with wavelength short than 1550nm.

This material is usually right handed (dextro-rotatory), which means that as you look at the source from the image plane the polarization appears to rotate clockwise as it propagates through the crystal. Where required we can also supply left-handed (levo-rotatory) components where the direction of rotation is reversed. We can also manufacture parts from quartz crystals for particular applications.
